About Us
MEET OUR STAFF
Diane has been a public accountant for 18 years. She has worked with a wide variety of clients but especially enjoys working with small business owners. She has an undergraduate degree in History from Western Michigan University and completed her accounting degree at Northwestern University. In her spare time Diane loves to garden and also breeds and shows purebred dogs.
Dersh is a graduate from DeVry and is currently studying for the Audit portion of his CPA exam. He is a certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor. In addition to QuickBooks training, Dersh works on complex accounting projects, tax preparation and assists with NFP audits. He also loves to work with Excel, and has tutoring experience in this area. Dersh became a father in 2015!
Our camera shy Joanna started with The A.C.T. Group, LLC in 2009 after receiving her Associates Degree in Accounting. She started as our Processor and through the years has become invaluable as a Tax Preparer (Individual, Condo, Payroll & Sales Tax returns), Bookkeeper and Researcher.
Cheryl joined The A.C.T. Group, LLC as Office Manager in 2009. Prior to that she owned a recruiting firm and managed a family business. She enjoys traveling, the summer season and the wide variety of contact she has with our clients throughout the year.
Doug has many years of experience in Tax and Audit. He joined us in 2016 and has become a major part of our team! He is enjoying living in the City after many years in the suburbs and is an all-around sports fan!
Kevin is a Licensed Certified Public Accountant and received his undergraduate degree in Accountancy from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Notre Dame. He brings many years of experience in the areas of Tax, Audit and Finance. He has worked closely with firms to help them navigate through bankruptcy, mergers and acquisitions, implementation of new accounting systems and team building.
Jessica is the newest member of our team and is doing a great job! She is the “voice” of The A.C.T. Group and will be in touch with our clients on many levels. She also enjoys theatre, hiking and all things creative!
